France has long been the global center of art, science and philosophy. [13]  In terms of total household assets, it is ranked fourth in the world. [14] France performs well in international rankings of education, health care, life expectancy and human development. [15] [16] France is considered a great power around the world, [17] due to being one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, the veto has power and it is an official nuclear weapon state. It is a leading member state of the European Union and the Eurozone.  The group of 7, is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Economic Cooperation and Development Organization (OECD), World Trade Organization (WTO), and La Francophany.
